Hi! I’m Jenny,

I’m a writer, educator, and founder of Orange Elephant Press.

For as long as I can remember, writing has been my way of making sense of things. Over the years, I’ve filled notebooks scattered with reflections, lyrics, and ideas – pieces of who I am.

Today, those pieces are finally coming together!

In 2024, I was selected to participate in an Entrepreneurship Academy hosted by the Chamber of Commerce of Southeastern Connecticut. After eight weeks of planning and development, my pitch won first place!

I was awarded $2,000 by the Southeastern Connecticut Enterprise Region. I used the prize money to launch Orange Elephant Press, build this website, and edit my debut picture book, A Seedling’s Wish!

In 2026, Orange Elephant Press was selected as a recipient of a $2,500 Launch Pad Grant from the Women’s Business Development Council to help bring A Seedling’s Wish from development to publication.

Outside of writing, I’m a rockin’ housewife, mom to a theater kid, and pet parent to a goofy rescue pup and two cats. I’m here for life’s simple pleasures: fancy tacos, dance parties in my kitchen, and binging good TV.

Oh! And I have Cerebral Palsy…and probably ADHD!

Those experiences shape every story I tell. They influence the questions I ask and the characters I create. I can’t wait for us to grow together!

xoxo,

Jenny

A SEEDLING’S WISH

My debut release is a children’s picture book titled…

A Seedling’s Wish.

On a trip to the orchard, a young girl meets a shy seedling who dreams of touching the stars. With the help of a magical fairy, together they learn to grow strong, stand tall, and shine bright.
